The Cursed Courtyard is a historical novel set in the infamous prison of the same name, which is only an introduction to the story of the many interesting characters who reside there. Special attention is paid to the character Ćamil and his historical double Džem-sultan, whose life stories are at the very center of the thematic circle of this novel.
