Maxmagnus SS #17: Poslije pobune

The first, shorter episodes were published from 1968 to 1970 as part of the magazine Eureka. The scriptwriter was Max Bunker, and the artist was Magnus. That is why the comic is called Maxmagnus, after the two of them. However, during the 80s, Bunker again launched the comic, as an independent, and published about twenty episodes. The comics are now drawn by Leone Cimpellin and Domenico Marino. During the 80s, it was published only in France and Yugoslavia. Since 2007, the comic has been published again by the company Strip-Agent.

The plot takes place in the fictional empire of Maxmagnus, which was located somewhere in Europe. The comic features kings, wizards, witches, knights, thieves, and princesses, but the entire plot is integrated and a lot of black humor is thrown into it. This is a timeless story, because it can apply to any form of government. The main character is King Maxmagnus, who wants to extract as much money as possible from the poor people. Some help him in this, and some oppose him. There are no heroes or positive people in the comic, but everyone wants to get money and welfare out of everything, be it kings, wizards or representatives of nations, other kingdoms or even religion.
