Ova, za teorijsko promišljanje kiča izvanredno podsticajna studija doprineće da se i u našim relacijama započne ozbiljnije razgovarati o kiču i to ne kao o pojavi čija je sudbina slična nekoj »prolaznoj epidemiji«, već kao o činjenici koja prati rast ljudske civilizacije od njenih početaka. Stvar je u tome što je Gic ukazao na antropološke korene kiča, čime se problem pomera iz sfere »neozbiljnog«, od čega je često patilo i samo teorijsko ispitivanje, u sferu »ozbiljnog« intelektualnog osmišljavanja.
