Zagor LU #167: ljudi s granice
English lord Albert Lancaster enlists Zagor’s help to find his missing son on the American frontier, where unfamiliar rules and wilderness dangers threaten the search.
Ljudi s granice continues Lord Albert Lancaster’s search for his son Adam. The young man left England to build an independent future on the American frontier, but his family has heard nothing from him for three years. His last known trail leads to Darkwood, where Albert depends on Zagor’s experience and protection.
For the English aristocrat, this is a world in which social standing offers little security. Familiar habits cannot prepare him for the dangers of the forest or the strangers encountered along the way. A father’s concern and a son’s desire for independence give the search its emotional purpose, while uncertainty about Adam’s fate sustains the suspense.
Luigi Mignacco combines frontier adventure with family drama and contrasting ways of life. Zagor serves as both protector and guide to an environment his companion must learn to understand. Inherited status and practical resourcefulness become contrasting measures of a person’s ability to cope.
Alessandro Chiarolla illustrates the wilderness and its inhabitants. This issue concludes the two-part adventure begun in Ludens #166, Lord u Darkwoodu, and the two instalments are best read together.
