EsseGesse

EsseGesse was an Italian team of cartoonists, best known for their Western comics, which were popular in the 1950s. The comics were translated into French, Serbian, Croatian, Turkish, Greek, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian.

Their name is taken from the Italian pronunciation of the first letters of their three surnames, Pietro Sartoris of Greek origin (Turin, Italy, 15 August 1926 – 27 July 1989), Dario Guzzon (Turin, Italy, 4 January 1926 – 3 May 2000), and Giovanni Sinchetto (Turin, Italy, 5 April 1922 – 19 January 1991).[1] Some of their best-known series include Captain Mickey, The Big Black, Commander Mark, Kinowa and Alan Mistero.
