Sučeva kuća

Sučeva kuća

Bram Stoker

The story "THE JUDGE'S HOUSE" belongs to the horror genre. It begins with the arrival of Malcolm Malcolmson in the first unknown village on the road, that is Benchurch.

He just wanted to read peacefully, and at the same time he was supposed to stay in Suč's haunted house. That's what all local residents call the house where Malcolmson decided to live. The house was abandoned for 50 years and no one else wants to enter it. A long time ago, a judge lived in it and gave harsh verdicts. After the unforgettable "Dracula", the second in line is "Judge's House", which does not have the fame of "Dracula", but on every page you can see that it comes from the hand of the same master. Since Stoker's death in 1912, she has been mentioned in literary terms next to the more famous count. Moreover, it can be said that on the one hand, Stoker revived the vampire Dracula, and on the other, the mysterious Judge's house. That house acts as the future home of Dracula in some subsequent Hollywood version of the vampire-on-vampire story.
