Pasje godine

Pasje godine

Günter Grass

The action of the novel takes place in the Vistula basin, in an area where a mixed Catholic, Protestant and Jewish population lives, and turbulent historical events leave indelible traces both in the life of the community and of individuals.

Trying to depict the appearance of the germ of Nazism, the author builds this work of his, which is most strongly influenced by modernist poetics, which means that there is no solid fictional center, but the world of the work is revealed as a space for the expression of many characters and a meeting place of feverish seas that overlap with life.
