Savršen špijun

John Le Carre

Le Carre's novel The Perfect Spy is both a character study and a suspenseful crime story. According to critics, his masterpiece.

Spymaster Magnus Pym disappears after returning to England where he attended his father's funeral. The investigation is taken over by two mentors, who left a strong mark on Magnus's personality along with his late father. It is assumed that Magnus Pym is actually a double spy on the run. The chapters of the search for Magnus Pym alternate with the chapters of his memories that he writes down in exile, and they are in many ways inspired by Le Carre's personal memories. They reveal the foundations of Magnus's personality as a spy, not only in a professional sense. Having adopted a lot from his father prone to lies and deceit, Magnus developed into the "perfect spy" of his own family, schoolmates and friends, skillfully infiltrating every environment and situation.
