Napokon brucošica
The latest novel by our award-winning children's author Nada Mihelčić is a thematic continuation of the author's novel Notes of a High School Girl, although it stands as a separate entity.
With her distinctive, flowing style, already recognizable in our youth literature, the author addresses this time the generation that has emerged from adolescence, graduated and entered the age when it is moving, or not moving, into further university education. Physically mature, but emotionally agitated, the heroes of the novel question the unquestioning acceptance of the values of the society in which they grew up. With their insufficient knowledge, hunches, and youthful honesty, these participants in the course of life have touched on some taboo topics and supposedly indisputable authorities. Using simple language that is familiar to young people, the author uses dialogue as a means of setting theses and antitheses. She does not impose answers, but opens the way towards them.
