Tajna špilje Škav
The collection The Secret of the Škav Cave brings together a series of short stories that combine reality, memory, and narrative tension through native motifs, everyday events, and mysterious scenes.
The Secret of the Škav Cave is a collection of short stories by Željko Kocaj. The book brings together several prose texts that are connected by a native atmosphere, a sense of closeness to the place, and an interest in small but impressive human stories.
Instead of a single central plot, the book offers a series of narrative units that build a diverse but stylistically uniform world. The stories intertwine personal experiences, native memory, attitudes toward the past, and sensitivity to people and places that leave a mark on the memory. The author writes calmly, clearly, and suggestively, and even when he talks about ordinary things, he reveals an additional layer of meaning in them.
This book will appeal to readers who like short prose, native themes, and texts in which the narrative relies on atmosphere, memory, and quiet mystery, rather than sudden twists and spectacular action.
