Zagor LU #304: Nindže u zasjedi

Nindže u zasjedi (The Ninja Ambush) continues the adventure begun with Zagor’s reunion with the samurai Takeda. A Japanese delegation has travelled to the United States to study Western industrial progress. Its diplomatic mission, however, is threatened by people determined to make it fail. An encounter intended to foster understanding becomes a target for organised violence.

Zagor faces enemies with contrasting methods: deadly ninja and a substantial force of gunmen. The threat brings Japanese warriors together with armed men of the American frontier. Protecting the visitors requires more than winning a duel when the opposition can employ both covert attacks and overwhelming firepower.

Jacopo Rauch develops an action thriller combining Western and samurai adventure. Takeda connects the Japanese visitors with Zagor’s familiar world, while the conspiracy gives their protection a significance beyond individual survival. A mission devoted to observation and learning is being challenged through violence.

Massimo Pesce illustrates the clash of swords, firearms and different fighting traditions. This middle chapter builds on Povratak samuraja and carries the mounting conflict towards its conclusion in Crveno sunce.
