Believing that Amanda only wants his status and money, they panic and launch a sabotage campaign: spreading false rumors and setting up awkward encounters at pre-wedding events in Scotland. They involve Fraser’s brother Angus, a gruff but lovable ally.
Mel struggles with complications: her boyfriend Alex, a greedy accountant with commitment issues, and her renewed feelings for Fraser. Fran becomes embroiled in an unconventional romance. The novel mixes humor and chaos – farcical scenes like Amanda trying to look like a witch at a wedding dress fitting – with themes of jealousy, friendship and self-discovery.
