Ogledanje s krajem stoljeća : od kolumne do eseja

Knjiga Josipa Cvenića „Razmišljanja s kraja veka“ (1997) je zbirka eseja i razmišljanja u kojima autor razmatra društvene, kulturne i političke promene na prelazu iz 20. u 21. vek.

Cvenić analizira stanje savremenog društva, posebno u kontekstu postjugoslovenskog prostora, dotičući se tema kao što su identitet, tranzicija, ratna iskustva i moralne dileme koje prate period velikih promena. Njegovi tekstovi često kombinuju lično iskustvo sa kritičkim osvrtom na šire društvene procese. Autor dovodi u pitanje ulogu intelektualaca, kulture i medija u vremenu krize vrednosti i upozorava na opasnosti površnosti, manipulacije i gubitka etičkih standarda. Istovremeno, on nastoji da pronađe smisao i mogućnosti za obnovu kroz dijalog, kulturu i individualnu odgovornost. Generalno, delo je refleksivno i angažovano, nudeći kritički pogled na kraj veka i podstičući čitaoca da razmišlja o pravcu u kojem se društvo razvija.
