March develops a strange, almost hypnotic relationship with the fox, which reflects her inner tension and unexpressed desires. With the arrival of Henry, the dynamics between the characters change. He gradually establishes dominance over the farm and over March, while Banford becomes an obstacle to this new hierarchy. The tensions culminate in a tragic event that resolves the power relationship between the characters.
