Tako je i njegova reakcija iskazana u zaustavljanju vremenskog procesa i pokušaju da se čitav svet vrati u povoljniji trenutak, kada je još uvek moglo da se krene "rašanskim stazama".Radmilo Anđelković se svojim romanom odlučio na dvostrukost u svim pogledima, pa i u pristupu junacima. Oni su, pre svega, nosioci vrlo preciznih autorovih ideja o dualitetu ljudske prirode, ali i vrlo živi likovi, koji ukazuju da umesto ideološke i ekonomske pozadine, umesto istraživanje odnosa čoveka i sistema, jedina prava motivacija u pisanju književnog dela obitava u istraživanju granica ljudske duše.
