Fabio Civitelli

Fabio Civitelli (born 1955 in Lucignano, Italy) is a prominent Italian comic book artist, best known for his work on the popular Tex Willer series, published by Sergio Bonelli Editore. After studying art in Arezzo, Civitelli began his career in the 1970s drawing short comics and illustrations, collaborating with numerous publishers. In 1981, he joined Bonelli and began his long-term work on Tex, where he established himself as one of the most recognizable and respected Tex artists.

His style is characterized by precise lines, a classical approach to composition and special attention to facial expressions and details in the set design, which makes him one of the most realistic artists within the Bonelli school. Civitelli is also responsible for several colored Tex specials, which further emphasizes his versatility and artistic strength.

During his career, he has received numerous awards and recognitions, and his works have been exhibited in various galleries and at comic book festivals across Europe. In addition to Tex, Civitelli has worked on other comics and projects, but it was Tex Willer that earned him cult status among fans of the ninth art.
