Olupine na suncu

Olupine na suncu

Vladan Desnica

The first of four collections of short stories by Vladan Desnica, which gathers 15 short stories that the writer published individually in literary magazines such as: Književne novine, Književnost, Delo and Hrvatsko kolo. Abridged pocket edition.

The very name of the collection "Wrecks in the Sun" heralds the task the writer sets for himself: illuminating the dark psychological depths of the characters, exposing the human nature that suffers, suffers, hurts, fears, deceives, sacrifices or kills in an effort to preserve happiness or to obtain it. All stories are accompanied by a dictionary of unknown words. Four short stories are accompanied by methodical instrumentation.
