(1939-1958), Vol. Pope John XXIII. announced the decision to convene a new council, which will be called the Second Vatican Council. With this unexpected decision of a man who was supposed to be a friendly pope, the history of events that will shape the face of Catholicism in the 20th century and mark Christian communities around the world begins.
