The first edition of the Croatian translation of documents from the Second Vatican Council. This edition of the Documents presents a parallel and two-column Latin and Croatian text.

On January 25, 1959, not even three months after his election as the successor of Pope Pius XII. (1939-1958), Vol. Pope John XXIII. announced the decision to convene a new council, which will be called the Second Vatican Council. With this unexpected decision of a man who was supposed to be a friendly pope, the history of events that will shape the face of Catholicism in the 20th century and mark Christian communities around the world begins.
