Mister No SD #16: Kolumbijac
A mysterious Colombian brings money to missing Pedro Moraes’s family and threatens his son. Mister No intervenes, following the stranger’s trail in search of answers.
A Colombian stranger visits Pedro Moraes’s wife and son in Manaus. He brings money on Pedro’s behalf but demands a signed receipt, and his behaviour soon turns threatening towards the boy. Mister No steps in and follows the visitor, his only available lead to the missing father.
In Kolumbijac, an apparently straightforward delivery raises troubling questions. Why has Pedro not come himself? What does his intermediary want, and why does the receipt matter so much? Jerry Drake takes on the role of investigator, determined to protect a vulnerable family and uncover the circumstances behind the visit.
Roberto Dal Prà builds the adventure around withheld information and distrust of a man who may hold the key to another person’s disappearance. Rather than beginning with an expedition into remote country, the story starts with a family in trouble in Manaus itself. Illustrated by Luca Dell’Uomo, it combines money, intimidation and a missing-person mystery with the action of the series. Kolumbijac presents Mister No as a defender of people under pressure, unwilling to accept an explanation that conceals more than it reveals.
