Električni Orgazam

Les Chansones Populaires is an album of covers by Električni orgasm from 1983 on audio cassette. It brings unique interpretations of rock classics in the band's recognizable garage and psychedelic sound.

Les Chansones Populaires is the third studio album of Electric Orgasm, released in 1983, available on this edition in audiocassette format. Unlike the previous albums, the band recorded here a collection of covers of songs by artists who strongly influenced their musical development.

The album includes interpretations of the compositions Locomotion, Citadel (The Rolling Stones), Metal Guru (T. Rex), I'm Waiting for the Man (The Velvet Underground), The Man Who Sold the World (David Bowie), Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! (The Beatles), When the Music's Over (The Doors) and Blue Moon, where Električni Orgasm gives each song its own distinctive stamp through a combination of garage rock, psychedelia and raw concert energy.

Recorded at Tivoli Studio in Ljubljana, with the final song recorded earlier at Zagreb's Jadran Film, the album represents an interesting departure in the band's discography and testifies to its musical role models. The audio cassette faithfully reproduces the original song arrangement and is a valuable edition for collectors and fans of new wave, rock classics and Electric Orgasm.
