Korjenčica
Korenčica is a fairy tale about friendship, about greed and the pursuit of wealth, about love, from which springs a strong call to preserve the beautiful world of animals.
A fairy tale about a cute and cheerful boy Vedran who lived on the edge of the forest and his best friend was Red Tail, a squirrel. In a village near the forest lived a greedy rich man. He loved cutting down trees as much as he loved gold coins. His eye caught the century-old Oak, the home of Redtail and many other animals. Will their home be destroyed? Gramzivac was deaf to their voices. He thought of the gold coins that the tree would bring him. Under cover of night, he peeled off an entire ring of oak bark. Wounded him. The boy was terrified. He told everything to his father and he called the Forester. There was no help. The oak was damaged and had to be cut down. But Gramzivac was lazy and the demolition of Hrast dragged on. The oak grew weaker and weaker. And then the storm hit the forest. Fortunately, forest fairies came to the rescue. Where did they take him and what did Red Tail leave for him under the stump?
