„Fischerei und Fischerklage“ des Hvarer Adligen und Dichters Petar Hektorović (Stari Grad, 1487-1572) ist eine Anthologie und eines der bedeutendsten Werke der kroatischen Renaissanceliteratur.

Als Epistel im Stil einer Ekloge geschrieben und meinem Freund Jeronim Bartučević gewidmet, ist diese Versgeschichte eines Fischers eine humanistische Ode an die Weisheit des Lebens, die menschliche Solidarität, das gesunde Zusammenleben mit der Natur und der Umwelt, die Fürsorge, die Liebe und das Verständnis für das Gemeinsame Mann.
