Daniel chooses "Shadow of the Wind", a novel by unknown writer Julian Carax, whose story captivates him so much that he decides to get hold of Carax's other works and research his biography. However, the search for the writer and his works gradually grows from a children's adventure into a multi-year research, from which a series of secrets, dangers, cursed loves, betrayed friendships, betrayal, murders, revenge...
