Proza poslije FAK-a

Proza poslije FAK-a

Jagna Pogačnik

A collection of literary criticism that the author has published on the pages of Jutarnji list over the years.

These are about a hundred reviews of domestic prose, which followed recent domestic production from week to week, without generational or poetic boundaries, and in a way function as a document and chronicle of a time. On the other hand, the book chronologically follows on from the author's first book of reviews, "Backstage" (2002). Since the reviews included in this book coincide in time with the disintegration and closure of the Alternative Literature Festival, the book of reviews is supplemented with an introductory study on Croatian prose after FAK, in which the author, using specific examples of individual books and authors, examines whether its importance was only extra-literary, in a complete change in the literary scene, in the establishment of new relationships between writers and readers, and in the affirmation of Croatian prose in the media, or whether FAK also significantly influenced the poetics of individual authors.
