Spuštanje u Maelstrom continues a northern adventure in which the pursuit of Professor Richter becomes increasingly perilous. The legendary whirlpool off Norway is only the first obstacle in waters capable of swallowing ships and their crews.

Richter’s taciturn, towering servant Bork abducts Felix, adding urgency to the chase. While Zagor’s companions become occupied with events in the Faroe Islands, the Spirit with the Hatchet follows the Erebus alone towards Iceland’s stormy shores. A divided company and a kidnapped friend turn the journey into an undertaking where support cannot be taken for granted.

Mauro Boselli combines maritime adventure, rescue and pursuit of an adversary whose intentions remain uncertain. The sea becomes an active obstacle, as significant as the human enemies: distance, currents and storms restrict the hero’s choices and deepen his isolation.
