Zagor LU #262: Kamena šuma

Kamena šuma continues Zagor’s journey through Patagonia, where a secret from Captain Herzog’s past threatens the passengers and crew of the Marilena. Beneath his authority lies an obsession with revenge and wealth that outweighs his responsibility towards his men.

Herzog believes he has another chance to find his old rival Sloane and secure a fortune in emeralds. His actions provoke conflict with the Tehuelche, while Zagor must venture inland to save his companions.

Mignacco combines a treasure hunt with a drama of destructive obsession. The adventure is driven not only by unfamiliar terrain but also by the captain’s refusal to abandon an old grievance. Zagor takes the opposing role, trying to contain the consequences of another man’s greed and protect those drawn into the conflict.

Gianni Sedioli’s artwork emphasises the vast landscape, the demands of travel and the tension of encounters. Patagonia becomes an active element of the narrative: a place where every poor decision makes a safe return more difficult.

This is the middle chapter of the storyline spanning Ludens #261–263, beginning in Pod južnim nebom and concluding in Vrijeme sudbine.
