Zagor LU #257: Sraz titana
Trapped on a dinosaur-filled plateau, Zagor must save Akawe and Rulfo from sacrifice to a gigantic creature, while escape to the outside world appears impossible.
Sraz titana continues the adventure begun in Izgubljeni svijet. Zagor, Chico and their companions are stranded atop the Great Tepui, an isolated ecosystem where prehistoric creatures still survive. The wonder of discovery rapidly becomes a struggle for life.
Conflict between two communities places the travellers in further danger. Akawe and Rulfo face sacrifice to a horned dinosaur, forcing Zagor to intervene. Armed with his axe and ingenuity, he must confront an opponent of overwhelming physical power.
Boselli develops a lost-world fantasy adventure in which curiosity gives way to responsibility for endangered friends. Animals are only part of the threat: unfamiliar customs, hostility and confinement complicate every decision. Winning an individual encounter offers no guarantee of finding a way off the plateau.
Michele Rubini’s artwork emphasises the enormous scale of the prehistoric creatures, the lush environment and the movement of combat. The contrast between human vulnerability and the power of nature gives the action its urgency.
This is the middle chapter of the storyline spanning Ludens #256–258. The adventure concludes in the opening section of the following issue, Most nad ponorom.
