The novel "Another Door" by Nada Vukašinović explores the complex relationships between two friends, Dunja and Sonja, who grew up together, but were separated by life circumstances and the events of the war.
The story explores themes of vulnerability, friendship, emotional connection, but also rivalry, betrayal, and questioning the past and present. Dunja, a teacher about to retire, faces an identity crisis, creative stagnation, and health problems, while trying to find justification for Sonja's actions and understand the changes in their lives. The novel was published in 2023.
