Zagor Lu #321: Crne suze
A mysterious shaman kills from afar with the curse of the Black Tears. Zagor must uncover his identity and discover how to stop a threat that may reach him next.
Crne suze presents a self-contained adventure in which Zagor faces an enemy who need not be nearby to threaten him. A mysterious shaman arrives from distant lands, apparently capable of killing from afar. His weapon is a curse against which ordinary defences may offer little protection.
Zagor must discover the stranger’s identity and the nature of his power while seeking to avoid the fate of his victims. With the threat’s rules unknown, every new step carries risk.
Luigi Mignacco combines western adventure with an occult mystery. Suspense depends on the separation between cause and effect: the enemy does not have to stand before the hero to place him in danger. Strength and speed are insufficient, making investigation essential to resistance.
Gaetano and Gaspare Cassaro’s artwork creates a dark atmosphere and a sense of danger that cannot easily be located. The Black Tears provide the story’s striking central motif, while Zagor’s search for an explanation connects mystery with action.
The complete story is contained in this issue, making it suitable for readers seeking a single adventure without collecting further instalments.
