Zagor LU #351: Specijalna postrojba
Returning to an Abenaki village, Zagor confronts his troubled past and an army special unit whose presence threatens renewed violence against the inhabitants.
Specijalna postrojba (Special Force) brings Zagor back to a place that shaped his destiny: the lakeside Abenaki village where he took revenge on Salomon Kinsky and lost his friend and protector, Wandering Fitzy. His return involves more than private memories. Some villagers still remember the massacre, making the past a living presence rather than a closed chapter.
An army unit known as Snipers Force has established a base near the lake. Its clashes with the Native inhabitants threaten renewed bloodshed in a landscape already marked by violence. Zagor once again stands between soldiers and villagers, but his own connection to the earlier events complicates his position.
Moreno Burattini combines frontier adventure with a reconsideration of the hero’s origins. The setting of an old act of vengeance becomes the stage for another confrontation, linking the protection of vulnerable people with responsibility for past actions. Zagor must do more than overcome an opponent: he faces the challenge of preventing violence from repeating itself.
Marco Verni illustrates a story in which a military conflict is inseparable from personal memory. The episode offers particular interest for readers drawn to the lasting influence of Zagor’s early experiences on his sense of justice.
