Zagor LU #340: Kandrax
Kandrax returns from another dimension and attacks Zagor’s past. His revenge reshapes the hero’s life and future, creating a reality where familiar rules no longer apply.
Kandrax brings back the powerful druid, whose attack now reaches beyond Zagor’s present life. The enemy changes the past to reshape the future, turning personal revenge into a threat to the hero’s identity.
His return from another dimension opens an adventure in which familiar history can no longer provide a secure foundation. Zagor must confront the consequences of magic that alters the events on which his life depends.
Claudio Chiaverotti constructs a dark fantasy about destiny, memory and alternative existence. Rather than a straightforward pursuit of a sorcerer, the story becomes a struggle against an enemy who changes the conditions of the conflict itself. If the past can be rewritten, neither experience nor established alliances can be taken for granted.
Marco Torricelli’s artwork emphasises the magical atmosphere and the strangeness of a world departing from ordinary logic. His approach suits an adventure where physical action meets uncertainty about the boundaries of reality.
This issue begins the two-part storyline spanning Ludens #340–341, concluded in Prošlost i budućnost. The adventure also marks Chiaverotti’s debut as a Zagor writer.
