Bog je veći od tvog srca

Bog je veći od tvog srca

Valentino Salvoldi

The Lord does not want us to walk a tightrope, constantly exposing ourselves to danger and fearing that we will fall, but He wants us to be pilgrims who, step by step, ascend towards the glorious summit of His love, along paths that are sometimes easy

It is a journey in which, by the effort a person makes to rise, even falls can be an act of love. The author believes that the biblical image of the "pilgrim" can well convey the spirit of this book, and at the same time summarizes the recommendation he has so often given in the examination of conscience, a subject that the book deals with extensively and persistently. In fact, at the end of each day, a Christian should not, first and foremost, let alone exclusively, ask himself how many times he has fallen, just like a tightrope walker. Rather, he should ask himself how many ways God's love has been revealed in the people, in the circumstances, in the inspirations, in the joys and sufferings of the daily pilgrimage. From such a reflection on one's own day, which becomes "thanksgiving" (which is the theme of the book and the goal that is constantly set), it will be easier to see moments of distraction and inattention; in clear contrast to so many messages of love from the Lord, sin will stand out more strongly in its gravity.
