To other mothers, who gather in front of the school to drop off and pick up their children, she is a real danger to the environment. To architectural experts, she is a revolutionary architect. To fifteen-year-old Bee, she is her best friend and, quite simply, her mother. But then Bernadette suddenly disappears. And Bee must embark on a journey to the ends of the earth to find her.
