The book contains an overview of the masterpieces that are hidden behind the front doors of the gallery.
Unlike many museums that were founded thanks to the generous donation of the ruler or his decision to found a museum, this gallery was founded thanks to the joint efforts of many patrons with the aim of establishing a place of learning and spreading culture. Today's gallery space was completed in 1837, and entrance to it is free so that every visitor gets the impression that all these works of art belong to him in some way.
