Šagal Mark, francuski slikar i grafičar beloruskog porekla.

Studirao u Sankt Peterburgu, Berlinu i Parizu, gde živi od 1910. Intenzivnu slikarsku, grafičku i scenografsku delatnost razvija u Francuskoj, Nemačkoj, Rusiji, Americi; od 1946. ponovo je u Francuskoj. Formirao je karakterističan umetnički izraz u atmosferi kubizma, ekspresionizma, simboličkog misticizma i nadrealizma. Inspirisan ruskim narodnim legendama i folklorom, trajno opsednut sećanjima na provincijsku jevrejsku sredinu iz detinjstva u Vitebsku i fantazmagoričnim priviđenjima, stvarao je originalna umetnička dela istančanog senzibiliteta i mašte, koja fasciniraju mešavinom groteskne i osetljive poezije i karakteristična boja. Radio freske u Pariskoj operi i novoj zgradi Metropoliten opere u Njujorku, vitraži na katedralama u Mecu, Remsu, sinagogi u Jerusalimu i u Palati UN u Njujorku. Radio je na scenografiji za ruske balete i pozorišne predstave u evropskim i američkim pozorištima. Šagalov muzej otvoren je u Nici 1969. godine.
