Dubravko Ivančan (1931–1982) was a Croatian poet, essayist, and translator, known for his works for children and young adults. One of his most famous works is "Jaje harambaša", first published in 1958.
The writer and journalist Zvonimir Milčec, who was in charge of Zagreb by intimate order, followed his city day by day, and for years portrayed it in this way and offered us a picture of that city in this book.
The work is a combination of documentary records, personal reflections, and literary episodes, bringing the reader both historical information and an intimate picture of the war days.
