Klasja Habjan

Klasja Habjan publishes short stories in the literary magazines Quorumu and Temi. In 2019, she exhibited her own short stories, along with illustrations, at the exhibition of the same name ˝Crtice˝.

The central themes are the body, identity, intimacy, everyday life, violence (personal and social), women's experience and the relationship of language to reality. The author plays with rhythm, repetitions and interruptions, often breaking down sentences and meaning to show the fragility of communication and inner states. The language is dense, associative and experimental; meaning is not offered directly, but is built through atmosphere and emotional charge. The sketches can be read as diary entries, poetic sketches or reflections on existence, with each individual unit functioning independently, but together they form a coherent picture of a contemporary, restless subject.
