In this book, the author analytically studies Croatian writers, poets and cultural figures, often observing them from new and less explored perspectives. Among the topics covered are the travelogues and poetic works of Fran Vinko Maroević, Nikola Andrić, Miroslav S. Mađer, Marijan Matković, Jakša Fiameng, Boris Domagoj Biletić and other authors. A special part of the book is dedicated to the relationship between literature and fine arts, where the author analyzes the connection between the Croatian literary and Mediterranean painting traditions, including the work of the painter Zvonimir Mihanović. The book is of a scientific nature and is intended primarily for experts in Croatian studies and the humanities, and its goal is the reinterpretation and new evaluation of individual authors and cultural phenomena through a contemporary critical approach.
