Greatest Hits

The compilation album Greatest Hits by legendary Swedish pop group ABBA was released in November 1975 (with subsequent international releases and extended versions in the following years). This release played a key role in cementing the band's global fame, following their triumph at the Eurovision Song Contest the previous year with "Waterloo". The album quickly became a massive global hit, topping charts around the world and selling millions of copies.

The album brings together the groundbreaking early singles that defined the group's distinctive, sparkling and layered pop sound, combining infectious melodies, the impeccable vocal harmonies of Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, and the arrangement genius of Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson.

The tracklist features timeless classics such as the triumphant "Waterloo", the infectious "SOS", "Mamma Mia", "Ring Ring", "Honey, Honey", "People Need Love", "He Is Your Brother" and the global phenomenon "Fernando", which was added later to some releases. The distinctive visual identity of the cover, featuring the band members on a sunny day, perfectly matched the optimistic and cheerful nature of their music. Greatest Hits remains a lasting monument to the golden era of pop music and one of the most important releases in the history of discography.
