Totalna terapija raka i leukemije: te drugih, naizgled neizlječivih bolesti prirodnim sredstvima
Austrian naturopath Rudolf Breuss' handbook on a 42-day fast with vegetable juices and teas, which proposes an alternative method of treating cancer, leukemia and other serious diseases.
The central part of the book describes the so-called "Breuss Cure," which lasts exactly 42 days. During this period, patients are forbidden from consuming solid food; their diet consists exclusively of freshly squeezed root vegetable juice (beetroot, carrot, celeriac, radish, and potato) and specific herbal teas (sage, cranesbill, and kidney tea). Breuss believed that cancer cells feed on proteins from solid food and are completely "starved" during the 42-day fast, while the body simultaneously undergoes a deep process of autolysis and detoxification. In addition to the cancer treatment protocol itself, the book contains numerous practical tips and recipes for alleviating various other health issues, such as respiratory and rheumatic disorders. Important note: Although the book is extremely popular in alternative medicine circles, the mainstream medical and scientific community emphasizes that there is no scientific evidence supporting the therapy's efficacy; they warn that prolonged, rigorous fasting can lead to dangerous malnutrition and weaken the body, and therefore do not recommend it as a substitute for conventional oncological treatment.
