Iznad oblaka

Iznad oblaka marks the return of Pula-based band Nola after an extended recording hiatus. At its heart are Gabrijela Galant Jelenić’s voice and Marijan Jelenić’s songwriting, connected through songs about love, togetherness and personal experience. Melodic pop rock draws its appeal from warm performances, clear musical ideas and arrangements that give the vocals room to breathe.

The title track, Iznad oblaka, and the love song Do kraja offer two entry points: memorable melody and emotional directness. Dan, Zauvijek, Ljubiš me and Bez tebe continue a programme in which human relationships matter more than grand gestures. The songs invite listeners to recognise their own feelings and experiences.

The remaining new material includes Spavaj, Prozor, Umorna, Kad (nanana) and More zna. Edi Cukerić’s production provides a cohesive setting, while the band’s character remains rooted in the relationship between voice, melody and instrumental accompaniment. This is music that can accompany a relaxed day while rewarding closer attention to lyrics and interpretive detail.

The release includes a bonus CD of earlier songs and multimedia, featuring Dio tebe, Osmijeh and Sami u Sali. Connecting the new material with the band’s earlier work gives a broader view of its musical identity.
