Zagor LU #94: Krvna braća
A massacre of Comanche chiefs pushes Texas towards war. Zagor seeks to prevent bloodshed as Ranger Adam Crane faces a choice between duty and his blood brother Grey Wolf.
In Krvna braća, Texas stands on the brink of war after Colonel Austin’s Rangers treacherously kill a group of Comanche chiefs. Grey Wolf, leader of the Quahadi, seeks to unite the Comanche groups in resistance. Violence fuels demands for retaliation, leaving little room for a peaceful settlement.
Texas Ranger Adam Crane faces a particularly painful dilemma: Grey Wolf is his blood brother. Loyalty to his unit clashes with friendship and his own sense of justice. Zagor, a friend to both men, tries to prevent their opposing affiliations from turning them into enemies.
Mauro Boselli develops a western about tested friendship, racial conflict and responsibility for violence. The threat of war grows from specific actions and decisions, making personal honour more important than unquestioning obedience. Zagor’s attempts at mediation confront hatred that every new incident threatens to deepen.
Carlo Raffaele Marcello illustrates the opening of an extensive four-part adventure. The story continues in Ludens #95, Teritorij Komanča, and #96, Pod zastavom Meksika, before concluding in #97, Izazov u brdima Wichita. Reading the complete sequence provides the full development of the conflict and its central relationships.
