Zagor LU #89: Čovjek s puškom
Four murdered trappers draw Zagor and Chico into a winter investigation, with a gold discovery offering a possible motive and the wilderness threatening every step.
Čovjek s puškom opens a winter adventure combining Western action, a murder mystery and a struggle for survival. South of Lake Ontario, Zagor and Chico encounter the aftermath of a crime. A written record among the victims’ belongings suggests that greed may provide an explanation, but finding answers means travelling through unforgiving country.
Snow, cold and isolation shape the narrative. The wilderness makes movement difficult and suspicions harder to test, while each new clue deepens the uncertainty. Moreno Burattini and Gallieno Ferri combine the momentum of an adventure story with the unsettling presence of an unseen threat. Ferri’s artwork gains particular force from the contrast between expansive winter landscapes and the vulnerable people crossing them.
The issue opens with the conclusion of Kradljivac sjena, written by Mauro Boselli and illustrated by Mauro Laurenti. The title adventure continues in Ludens #90, Bijela srdžba, and #91, Smrt u ledu. This makes the volume both a transition between two creative teams and the opening chapter of a complete winter trilogy.
