Radau : Tatortfoto's Marinus van der Lubbe (1933), Schuldig reizen (1993)

Ron Sluik, Reinier Kurpershoek

Special edition about the Dutchman Marinus van der Lubbe, who was sentenced to death after the arson attempt in the Reichstag (Berlin) in 1933 and was killed in 1934. Limited edition of 100 copies.

Before the burning of the Reichstag, Marinus van der Lubbe went on a bicycle trip to the Balkans. On that trip, he reached Osijek and Vukovar, and he kept a diary about the trip. In the 1990s, the authors decided to make a report about his trip, taking the same route and stopping at the same places. It was the time of the war in Croatia, when Osijek was on the front line. This circumstance gives this report an additional symbolic dimension.

Edition with black and white illustrations of places where Marinus van der Lubbe stayed during his journey.
