Momo Kapor's "Notes of One Ana" were created from texts that began to be published in 1968 in the magazine Bazar. This collection of prose texts, known as the first "prose in jeans", quickly gained popularity in Yugoslavia.
In his stories, the author intertwines real city toponyms and supernatural phenomena with motifs from Meyrink's mystical novels about Prague and magical realism of the Borges type.
The main character, Ivan, explores his roots and family history. Through his travels and encounters with different people, the novel explores themes of identity, belonging, love and the past.
