Paracelsus - kralj liječnika

Paracelsus - kralj liječnika

Pert Peternell

A biographical novel about the doctor Theophrast von Hohenheim, who was born in 1493 as the son of Wilhelm Bombast von Hohenheim, also a doctor.

"The greatest is the one who knows nature and miracles, who learns and knows. The one who neither can, nor knows, nor knows, is dead." - Paracelsus.

Living mainly in Austria, the southern German states and Switzerland, but also traveling in other European countries, he made a name for himself by researching new treatment procedures and introducing brave innovations into medicine, curing many people who were thought to be lost cases. Forging unexplored paths in medical science at a time of great historical and spiritual turmoil in Europe, he won the gratitude and admiration of many who owed him their health, but he was also the victim of various intrigues fueled by the malice of the envious. Numerous legends have interwoven around his character, as well as a never-solved riddle about practicing alchemy...
