The Eagle and the Serpent is a novel about the Mexican Revolution originally published in 1928 by Martín Luis Guzmán.

The autobiographical novel focuses on the events that occurred between 1913 and 1915 of the Mexican Revolution and Guzmán's experiences during the period. Each chapter describes a person or event during the revolution, and the book is popular for its descriptions of great leaders, especially Francisco Villa.
