Više nego ljudski

Više nego ljudski

Teodor Sterdžen

"More Than Human" is Sturgeon's masterpiece and one of the classic works of SF.

All the main motifs of his work are gathered in this novel. A group of differently gifted parapsychological children form Homo gestalt, an evolutionary descendant of homo sapiens, which as a whole is "greater" than the sum of its individual parts. However, the children's parapsychological powers are not the main reason for their gathering into one "more than human" entity, but rather the deprivation of love, which they suffered as separate beings. But the problem of relations with "others", where others have become the entire inferior humanity, is not solved by this, but only raised to a higher level.
