Povijest katoličkih župa u istočnoj Hrvatskoj do 1880. godine

Povijest katoličkih župa u istočnoj Hrvatskoj do 1880. godine

Josip Brusztle

The history of Catholic parishes in eastern Croatia includes those parishes and villages that were under the diocese of Peču in eastern Croatia until 1781 and parishes in Baranja, Croatia until the end of the 19th century.

Particularly valuable are the data that the author provides for parishes, towns, pastors, churches, chapels and cemeteries, schools, teachers and the population after the expulsion of the Ottoman authorities (1687). The work is written in Latin. This second edition of the book, published in 1994, was supplemented with translations of charters, adding dates and some other information that was abbreviated in the first edition. Parishes are listed in alphabetical order, and data on the total number of Catholics in 1880 are listed next to each parish. The continuation of parish history should cover the next period from 1880 to the present day.
