Ivan Tišov (1870.-1928.)
Retrospective exhibition
Ivan Tišov, a Croatian painter, left a significant mark in art during the last decade of the 19th and the first three decades of the 20th century. His retrospective exhibition was held in 2005 in the Fine Arts Gallery in Osijek and in the Klovićevi dvori Gallery in Zagreb. Tišov was not a wanderer in the events of modernity, but a curious excursionist into its spaces. His spirit belongs to tradition, and as a classicist and painter of continuity, he was above all a good painter.
